It is the mission of the Columbus State University Staff Council to promote better understanding, increased cooperation, and open communication among all constituent groups on our campus. We cannot achieve our mission without you! We need your voice and your participation.
Staff employees play a critical role in the day-to-day operations and the successful advancement of this University. With members from UITS to Student Affairs, from Plant Operations to Administrative Support, and everything in between, we are a dynamic and diverse group of people. Through Staff Council, we try to use this broad range of knowledge and experience to facilitate improvements, and foster growth and innovation on our campus. In addition to providing a forum for discussion, we strive to provide opportunities for professional development, service projects, staff appreciation events, and other activities that let us come together and just have fun!
I want to invite you to attend our meetings on the 1st Thursday of each month in the Center for International Education Event Hall on main campus from 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Staff Council meetings are open to ALL staff; both full-time and part-time employees are welcome. I hope that you will join us as a regularly attending member. We provide the link between those who make the decisions and those who must deal with the results. Make sure that your voice is heard!
I look forward to serving you for the 2013-2014 year and being your representative with the University administration. Do not hesitate to reach out to myself or other members of the Executive Board if there is anything we can do for you.
